City County Councilman - Zach Adamson - Recognizes Neighborhood, Partners, and Harlon Wilson and Enrique Gonzalez for Civic Engagement

The City County Council of Indianapolis, has recognized the My Christian Park Neighborhood Association, its founding President, area residents and pending deportees - Harlon J. Wilson and his husband, Luis Enrique Gonzalez-Ortiz, event partners Gabriel Harley and Perfect Mix Studios and Cathy Morris and Arts with A Purpose, for their work to support immigration reform. The first of many efforts to support area residents, the My Christian Park Neighborhood Association founding board members voted to stand up for immigration reform by sponsoring the "What About Us? Peaceful Resistance Rally" that took place on July 15, 2018. Described as "a valiant example of civic engagement," Indianapolis City County Council Vice President, Zach Adamson recognized the group for taking a stand for immigration reform.

On behalf the My Christian Park Neighborhood Association, rally coordinators and partners, and the many immigrant families facing the painfully unjust separations and deportations being executed by the Trump Administration's deportation force, Harlon & Enrique extend a great deal of gratitude and thanks to Councilman Adamson for his acknowledgement of the very real challenges our nation faces on immigration and for his on-going and continued support!

Seeking human-centered reformation of American immigration laws, Mr. Harlon J. Wilson and Mr. Enrique Gonzalez sincerely appreciate the recognition of the council.
