Harlon J. Wilson & Enrique Gonzalez Kick Off The "What About Us? Peaceful Resistance Rally"

When Enrique and I talk to people about our battle with deportation, three common themes emerge:
  1. People who think a marriage to a U.S. Citizen means undocumented immigrations are home free.
  2. People whose ridged and blatant discriminatory stance insists, "...the law is the law."
  3. People who (whether empowered [such as politicians] or not) suggests,"...there's nothing I can do."
Frustrated by this and the continuation of family separations across America and the day-by-day worsening of immigration rules set forth by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Enrique and I decided enough was enough. So, together we set out not only to fight the battle of misinformation and political one-ups-manship that is quite literally destroying people's lives but we also wanted to set a tone of welcome and kindness to celebrate American immigrants, while also forging pathways for dialog.
The following is just the beginning of our rally call! We must all be concerned about the inhumane emotional terrorism that is not only frightening families across the nation but that which has also resulted in tens of thousands of deportations and family separations.

Someone once said, "if you see something, say something." We see grave injustice unleashed across the nation. We are rising up to stop the xenophobic white-washing of America! We hope you'll join us in our fight.
